The Aluminium Candle explores the use of an industrial material in an object traditionally associated with warmth and fragility. Made from the same grade of aluminium used in aerospace applications, the project plays with the contrast between the cold, technical character of the material and the warmth of a burning candle. Its minimal geometry and raw metallic finish place the focus on material, proportion and manufacturing, transforming a familiar object through an unexpected material choice.
